Get Involved

All of us who live or work in the Capital Region can improve the economic and environmental health of our community -- and its quality of life -- by supporting sustainable growth practices and becoming involved in the region’s planning process.

Here are some ways you can get involved:

  • Contact a member of the planning team to see how you can get involved and be represented
  • Attend a public workshop or planning event to explore ways to make your community more sustainable
  • Share ideas on opportunities for improvement
  • Contact the regional planning team to see if your expertise is needed during the planning stage
  • Keep up-to-date on local and regional progress toward planning and development
  • Advocate for projects
  • Encourage participation and support by telling colleagues and other business leaders about this initiative
  • Begin adopting sustainability practices to conserve energy and produce less waste
